City Park
The Toccoa River Park
Nestled along the scenic Toccoa River, Toccoa River Park offers a peaceful and family-friendly retreat for both locals and visitors. Located just a short distance from downtown, this well-maintained park features a wide range of amenities, including a modern playground, covered picnic pavilions with grills, a riverside walking path, a fenced-in dog park, a basketball court, and a Veteran Memorial honoring those who served. Swinging benches positioned along the riverbank offer relaxing spots to enjoy the view, while a fishing dock and boat ramp provide access to the gentle waters of the Toccoa for paddling, tubing, kayaking, or casting a line.
The riverside walking path is pet-friendly, and two pet waste stations are available throughout the park to help keep the area clean. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times outside the designated dog park area.
Open daily from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM, the park also includes a public restroom facility and an outdoor fitness station for those looking to get in a light workout. A large open green space near the river is perfect for lawn games, casual gatherings, and more, and the entire park is ADA-accessible, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. With its blend of recreational options and natural beauty, Toccoa River Park is a relaxing destination for everything from morning walks to sunset picnics.
For those looking to reserve one of the park’s pavilions, you will need to call City Hall at 706-492-4921 for details and payment. Reservations are required. The fees for reserving a pavilion are $30 for a three-hour interval (available at 10 AM, 2 PM, or 6 PM) or $75 for an all-day reservation.
